Is there ANY chance my insurance will cover it???

Yes we live in IL, and they mandate coverage. Our insurance says it covers it at 80% with a maximum of 12,000. But the clinic told me to expect them not to pay because I can get pregnant on my own.

Your clinic is wrong. There is NOTHING in the ins. mandate that states you have to be infertile to have the coverage. Can I ask what clinic you are using? They sound quite unfamiliar with insurance....rather unsettling if you ask me

Ok I got a better call today! The insurance dept from the clinic actually called me today and told me that my insurance does not have any stipulations that there has to be fertility issues to get the IVF coverage. So hopefully we will be covered for part of the cost when we go through with it.
It sounds like the front desk girl just didn't quite know what the insurance dept actually knew.
As long as we get a lot of it covered I will be happy!
