ya i think it changes as CF progresses.
it's easy for someone like me to say "oh no, life is great" but as Mel said, her life is extremely different from mine.
reminds me of when parents of CFers say "oh they're not struggling! they live perfect, great, normal lives with no suffering." well sure, your kid is 5. or 10. talk to me in 20 years..... it seems often this perspective is missed by those who are new to CF.

Constant struggle? No. Sure it takes work. But CF doesn't occupy my every waking moment. Its true that it will eventually get to a stage of "constant struggle". But I'm far from that.

I agree that it totally depends on how sick you are. I think there is a big difference between someone who has 80% FEV1 and 40%FEV1. I do think it reminds me of parents who say their child has a mild case of CF. Well yes, so did I when I was 10. That is how a progressive disease works. As you get sicker it gets harder and harder to live a "normal" life and therefore is a struggle.
