Is this possible?

I usually get my IV's at home. Its been about 4 months since my last infusion, and lately I've been getting them every 4-6 months.

I just had an Dr's appt. about a month ago and my pft's were stable and had not declined. I'm not really feeling as good now and haven't been for a few weeks.

I feel ready for another round of IV's, but the problem is my family's vacation is two weeks away. I usually do three weeks of IV's. Do you guys think its possible to get the IV's and do them on vacation. I will be traveling 8 hours away and staying at a beach house in a different state? Relaxing on vacation would be great with IV's, I just don't know if its logistically possible to have the meds sent to a different state.

Does anyone think this is doable? I called my nurse at clinic today and left her a message but probably won't hear back until Monday.

Yes it is doable depending on insurance etc. Someone (sorry cant remember who) went on vacation & their doctor contacted a home health agency where they were going on vacation.

The home health nurse came to the hotel & got them set up. I am sure many factors led to this possibility, but its not unheard of.

I've done IVs at the beach, in the mountains...just about everywhere in between. Just make sure you can arrange to have any peak/trough blood draws done at an ER or something.

I wanted to go on vacation with some friends to California, so I started my clean-out in the hospital (in Arizona), and then went with a national home care company (like Corum or Caremark) who saw me at home before I went to California, and then again at 7 and 14 days in California for lab tests and supplies. It worked great!
