For those wondering what it is: ISIS = Infant Study on Inhaled Saline.

Emily had been on Hypertonic 7% for quite a while prior to enrolling in the study. She took a month off completly before starting. She didn't ever really cough all that much on her prescribed dosage/frequency of HTS, so I'm not sure that's always a reliable indicator of who's on the 7% and who's on the placebo (isotonic).

My husband swears she's on the placebo because it doesn't smell like HTS did?!?!?! I say it's the real thing. LOL

In any case, I'm glad to participate because I think HTS did her a WORLD of good, and I hope that this study can help make it more accessible to more kids and make it a commonly prescribed med to little ones. So, THANKS to everyone else who is participating.

My daughter is not on it, obviously since she is not an infant..lol.
I just wanted to tell Ricki, my daughter has been on hts 7% for a couple of years and has never coughed while doing it. So I dont think that really means anything.

Good luck to all that are participating.

My two year old son is in it right now - has been since November... I think he has the 7% hts because he coughs more during his treatments and has been (knock on wood) a lot healthier overall... Only once on antibiotics this winter compared to three months straight last year... I am thankful he got the opportunity to be in this study and hope it helps to get it out there to all the little ones who need it!
