Isn't it funny how obserservant and grown up the start to think at that age. My son is 5 also and he blows me away with how much he knows about CF. But I guess for them thinking about their CF so matter af factly and conserned is as natural as other kids worrying about their naps or lunch time. When AJ was in the hospital in May at the end of his stay when the DR. was checking him he told him "My mucus is drying up. I think this is about as good as we're going to get this time." Our kids are really beyond their years!!! I think you handled that situation perfectly. I don't know wht else you really cn say.
