IV Aztreanam

I am having a PICC placed today. Has anyone ever done IV Aztreanam and how is it? I am also going to continue with my course of inhaled Aztreanam and they are also doing Merrepenum.

I know many of you haven't done inhaled Aztreanam; but, do any of you do an inhaled version of an antibiotic at the same time as doing that same antibiotic through IV. There may be some you can't do this with. I don't know?? Like has anyone ever done inhaled Tobi at the same time as doing IV Tobra. I guess there are not a lot of inhaled antibiotic choices so this is probably not done too much.

Hey Skye! I have done i.v. aztreonam once this last December and I don't recall it causing any side effects. I have also been on inhaled aztreonam but not at the same time. My doctors haven't ever put me on both an inhaled and the same i.v. at the same time. Sorry this wasn't much help, but I seemed to have tolerated the aztreonam just fine and hope you will too!

I have been on IV Aztreonam 3 times in the last year with no side effects to report...
Also, my doctor frequently has me do inhaled tobi and IV tobramycin concurrently. I don't really know why.
