Yes, I believe they do. Some medications are not compatible with saline, so dextrose (sugar water basically) must be used instead and then saline. That causes my sugars to be high. Also, my doctor says when people are sick that just happens. My CF center won't do an OGTT on someone who is sick on IVs because it messes with the results.

Reece is being checked too...but they have said its because of infection that it has made his blood sugars high!

Thanks everyone. It never crossed my mind that it could be cos i'm not doing as much. Usually i'm flying around all over and at the moment i feel so dizzy and sick i'm just sitting watching TV all day.

Anyway my sugars are coming down which is good.

I'm just gonna have to get going and take the dog for some long walks the fresh air and excercise will do me good!!
