I'm curious to find out more about this topic. We never pursued testing because at the time of Josh's diagnosis some family members were looking to blame the other side of the family. We saw no need.

Recently my cousin announced a pregnancy and asked if anyone else had been tested. I felt badly that I never encouraged it more.

What is other people's experience?

I am not aware of any siblings or nieces/nephews being tested. My 2nd cousins baby was due to issues, but nothing turned up positive.

I am not aware of any siblings or nieces/nephews being tested. My 2nd cousins baby was due to issues, but nothing turned up positive.

This is a hard question to answer yes or no to. Some have, but not the closest relatives. I just found out that my cousin's wife just tested pos. to be a carrier. So my cousin is going either today or sometime soon to be tested. But I believe it comes from the other side so hopefully he is fine!
