Thank you for asking. I am still in the hospital, I am ever so slowly recovering. I am on a few antibiotics that just got switched around a bit. They are trying not to do surgery on my intestines becasue I am not such a great surgical candidate.. To many other heatlth issues going on.. Thing is because of the steroids, I take a really long time to heal from anything including this infection.. My surgery would be a several month recovery process...
Basically what happen was, I got home from MN after John died, I got up real early the next day to go to my god babies christening and as I was driving I got really sharp pains in my stomach.... I made it to the church and I was trying to make it through the service but my parents ended up having to bring me to the ER where I work.
At first they thought that the only thing wrong was fibroids but as they did further testing they found out not only do I have large fibroids that came back after just having them removed a few years ago I also have a real severe case of diviticulitis.. which is/was slightly leaking into my abdominal cavity.
They are really pushing for me that if I have to have surgery for my intestines they want me to get a hysterectomy.. Sorry but no way, not for me right now.
I feel better then I did, I am not in as much pain that is for sure, the Catscan showed yesterday that I don't have any further damage to my colon and intestines so although I didn't get any better at all, I also didn't get any worse which is a good thing.
Things are real crazy with my job... just insane... if I only felt well enough to tell you the insane things that have happen the past few weeks..
On a side note, I have been receiving Manual CPT and CPT with a percussor and I have to say, it is way more effective for me then the vest.. If only I could take the RTs home with me..
Thanks again for asking about me, I always feel so loved on here...
Love
Jennifer
