Jewish National in Dever?

I've heard good things about it from relatives who live in Denver. In fact during a visit when DS was a baby, it was suggested that someday we take him there as "they're the best" according to one cousin who's a medical malpractice attorney.

<br />DH's uncle from ND went there a couple years ago due to issues with his COPD -- didn't get the answers he wanted -- a cure, ability to play golf without being on 02; however, he did get some answers to issues and got some meds changed around to help with his quality of life.

<br />Being that you haven't gotten any definitive answer where you're at -- maybe it's time for a new set of eyes despite costs involved.

I went to National Jewish in 1989 and again last year. They are truly the best! It was a big trip for me as well, but well worth it.
I was seen mostly by an Infectious Disease doctor, Gwen Huitt. She finally figured out my issues when no one else could. I ended up having a pneumonectomy at University of Denver. Again I had a top notch surgeon. I don't have as much experience with the CF team there but my doctor is encouraging me to return annually to see her and the CF team. I would highly recommend them and especially Gwen Huitt to anyone who has any type of infectious disease (mycobacterium)

Many of the hotels near National Jewish give discounts if you are a patient. I also shopped around for hotels with free shuttle service to and from Nat'l Jewish.
When I went last year for my initial visit I was in the "Day Unit". I opted to still stay in a hotel, but could have stayed overnight in the day unit for $55/day.
