Wow Emily I too go to Northeastern. I went to George Washington in DC for 2 years, then transfered to NU, and now am thinking of transfering to Boston College! Some people think I am nuts for transfering twice (if i get into BC) but it is like you...because of my academic interests, that i want to leave. I am an art history major and NU just doesnt have the greatest program. I transfered there to be back in boston because my hospital, children's, is here and i needed to be closer.

In answer to the main question I am, like I said, an art history major. I am currently interning at a museum in boston and want to go on to get my masters in a program through sotheby's in London. I either want to work in museums or for auction houses.

I too live alone Emily in an apartment off campus. it is so much nicer than the days at GW when i lived with so many other people! Now i can do my vest whenever i want, and go to bed at 10:30 if i please.

Hi,
I am currently getting my masters in genetic counseling. It's a very intensive program (6 grad level classes a semester) so I don't work. Each semester we have an internship as well, this semester I am working in cancer genetics,

This past year has sucked for me, I've been in and out of the hospital lots. But I was able to get my Realestate license. I took the class online, and it was very easey. Got a job at Coldwell Banker, quit because they suck, and started working with my Dad. Very flexable, and I can always make doc apointments.

But I have not had a 9-5 job for the better part of a year.

I work in a High Risk Obstetrical department at Brigham and Womens hospital in Boston and I do ultrasound. I work 32 hours a week. So far it works well for me. I graduated from college 5 years ago and I have been working in Boston ever since. I love my job, I think it was a great career choice for me.

I've been working in a group home for the mentally ill for about 2 years now, 4pm-midnight shift. I also started grad school part time for social work in August, so in addition to working 40 hours a week I'm also taking 3 classes, which has been quite exhausting! Only 3 more years... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I'm seriously considering dropping down to 32 hours; I'm going to see if I can be more on top of things and manage my assignments better next semester, but if it's still too draining I'll probably drop a shift b/c in additon to being exhausted and highly stressed my weight has been dropping since school started. I ended up bumping my overnight feeding back up to 4 cans instead of 3 for the first time in well over a year to compensate (thank G-d for the feeding tube!!), which I am NOT happy about. We shall see!

Yeah, there are some scholarships out there for CFers. I dont remember exactly now which ones, but the social worker at my CF clinic told me about them when I was applying for college.
