john hopkins cf center...

i am thinking of transferring my daughter to johns hopkins cf center....it is about an hour and 1/2 farther from my home then my current center which is 1.5 hours away...but i have been contemplating switching centers...i love our doc but she has had some serious personal health issues over the past 6 months and im not crazy about the different docs my little has been seeing in the mean time....should i just go and check it out???

I only know about the adult cf center at JH. They dx me and took care of me for 4 years. I LOVED Dr. B and his staff. Even though I've moved about 11 hrs. away, I still occasionally think about going back there.

That would be 3 hours from your home? What would you do when she's really having difficulties? Where would she be admitted? Do you have a local dr. for her, also? When it's just a matter of blood tests or PFT you hate to travel that far. ie. Mine wants those things to determine when to discontinue IV's and have a PICC pulled. I don't travel 1.5 hrs. to Vanderbilt for just that.
