Yes, today is the day. Before he was dx, this day would have been special, but it's definitely more significant now. I know he is starting to realize that too. I sent him a text this morning to tell him happy birthday, and that I love him. (He leaves for work at the crack of dawn, so I didn't see him before he left.) He sent back this message. "I love you too Momma. I'm glad I've made it this far." Ugh!! Talk about breaking a momma's heart!
We will take the family out to eat mexican food tonight, and then go home for cake. Then, he and his brother are going to go hang out with some friends, and they may go to the casino. He's outgrown spending all of his b-day money on fireworks. LOL
