Sean, Mark started laughing. He says sure, He'll have the baby wear that one but it's going to have a disclaimer that some crazy guy from a website got it for him/her

Wander, yes it was positive. My beta on Wednesday afternoon was 146 and friday AM was 318. I'm just barely pregnant, but SOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Froggy, I'll have to take you up on that offer-if Mark lets me go shopping . Quite honestly, all we thought about was the IVF, not if we'd have any money left over afterwards to buy necessities for the baby Oh well, it will all work out!!!

Christian, I am going to drag his butt into the store to make sure he likes the patterns we picked out online. Quite honestly, we've already made many trips to babiesRus in CA and picked out what we liked at the time and it's the same as what's on the registry, but I jut want to make sure

Jen, you are so sweet! I feel the same way too, like I've already met you and many others on this site in person. It just seems unreal that we're just friends online.... oh well.

Thanks to everyone for all the support. YOu are all SO very wonderful!!

Yippee! I was wondering about this! Baby shopping is so fun. Are you guys going to find out the gender?

Sean, I am thinking you should hold off on ordering the shirt for a little bit bc it sounds like they may need TWO of them!

Congrats Again!

About 6 months ago when Mark and I were talking baby, we both agreed to find out the gender but NOT share the name with anyone until the baby is born.

Now we've revisited the subject and he remembers that conversation differently. He says he told me he didn't want to find out (GggggggggRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) but I recall we both agreed we would want to know the sex. So, now it's kind of a subject on the back burner to be hashed out later, but soon.....

I do want to know, So i can get pink or blue things. Paint the nursery, get the appropriate boy/girl items and not have to worry about it AFTER the baby comes.

I guess we'll see

When the baby is first born, all they wear is those little onesies anyhow. We hada bunch in all colors, but we weren't hung up on the guys can't wear pink, girls can't wear blue thing. We bought girly outfits after Ahava was born.

Most nursery designs can be really unisex. Ours was jungle motif, and Ry painted the nursery green with a starscape on the ceiling. It wasn't ever a big deal.

I'm just saying, not knowing is no big deal as far as what you need when they are born, and it is a GREAT surprise. So, if you guys decide no, just know that all will be well.

Hi Julie!

Congrats! What any parent wants to do is certainly up to them. With both of ours we didn't find out. We were convinced our first was a girl (was very moody, didn't move much, caused me to have a lot of stressed tests...) and we didn't have any girl names ready. BOY were we surprised when Bobby was born! My husband actually broke down and cried with joy! (Not that he'll admit to anyone of course!) We got all neutral stuff as gifts and on our own, and then went as wild as we could after the birth buying all blue. The second--also a boy--was also not known 'til birth, and just as exciting.

Then again i've had lots of friends who do find out ahead of the birth and "bond better" knowing it's their son or daughter growing....

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it can be exciting both ways!

Hey Julie!! I'll definitely have to get on your registry! It seems like it's been soooo long since we were able to buy tiny little shoes and socks and outfits!! (Even though they're only 3!) It's so much fun and I wish I was there to go shopping with you along with everybody else! I'll just have to satisfy the itch online, because we are definitely done having children. Three is enough! As for the stretch mark issue above.....I have no advice on that one! I got as big as a tank with my daughter and even bigger with the boys! Nothing helped!! But it was a price worth paying too. Tell Mark he has just GOT to know the gender.....otherwise how are WE going to know whether to buy pink or blue?? We let everybody know the name of one twin, Alexander, and we couldn't choose on the other one so at the baby shower my mom listed the names we had discussed......Chandler, Nicolas, Cameron, etc....and everyone voted for the name they liked.....well, they all voted Nicolas, and that's what it was going to be until we had them and when I saw Chandler it just fit him, so we changed our minds! (And BOY did we hear about it!) Anyways, congratulations again!! I'm tickled pink (or blue) for you!!
