Mark has been staying here since yesterday (we thought yesterday was going to be the big day... I'll explain below) so my mom went and got the laptop from our house, LOL! So I have a commputer for a little while at least.
a quick update, they put me on 2.5g of magnesium per hour, which isn't quite the max dose. I've been very very lucky and tolerated it really well, no problems aside from being groggy and trouble collecting my thoughts. But some women climb the walls with this medication so I'm feeling really lucky.
Yesterday at about 1pm my contractions really kicked up. THey were every 4-8 minutes and the contractions were lasting from 3-5 minutes. They gave me percocet (sp????) and that helped the contractions and back pain for about 2 hours. Then I went through the same cycle again, 2-3 hours of strong contractions like that. I'm now dialated 1cm (as of yesterday evening). After the second run of really bad contractions they upped the magnesium and gave me a narcotic that is in the same class as morphine, but only lasts 2 hours (It's commonly given during labor but I can't recall the name of it).
So, I just go on like this until one of two things happen. If I dialate to 3cm, they WILL do a C section or if the magnesium and narcotic is no longer working on the contractions and they are breaking through, they will do the C section. The doctor thinks I might make it to the end of the week but it could change at any time if the contractions kick up or if I'm dialated.
We'll keep everyone posted (without boring you to death!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">).

Julie, I am glad that at least as of now they have been able to stop the contractions.
You can never bore us with details about the babies or your health....we are truly interested in knowing everyone is safe and healthy.
I will be MIA until the 6th, as we are moving and I have to pack my computer up when I finish this post.
I will be anxiously awaiting the time that I can get back online and see if you have had the babies.
