there is hope!!! Just because he cultured pseudomonas, doesn't mean he always will.
I didn't read all the responses, but albuterol and pulmicort can be done mixed together while on the vest. pulmozyme can also be done while on the vest, but must be done in a clean neb cup not mixed with anything else. It was recommended by our doctor to do tobi after the others not while vesting. Tobi must also be in a clean neb cup not mixed with any other meds. The treatment times are long, but worth it. there may be stumbles across the way, but stay faithful to your regimen and hopefully you'll steer through ok. CF is a taxing illness, that always has it's share of ups and downs. we can't isolate our little ones from everything. bacterias which can hurt them are everywhere. even in the hospital. the best we can do is follow our treatment schemes and be as vigilant as we can the rest we have to leave up to hope. We had a small victory last month. Our son cultured negative for pseudomonas after testing positive 3 consecutive months prior. we'll take a win when we can. Our son is 3 and has just been diagnosed back in August. We'll try to win as many battles as we can and eventually the war.
