The le'creme is great..unlike most of the yogurts.. it is smooth...no fruit chunks in it. My son loves them.....you can get yo baby & la'creme at walmart!!! Also I put scandishakes in his pudding & put it in another bowl so its easier to mix up. He also loves milkshakes....pedisure, ice cream , any fav. candy bar & sometimes half & half. He loves to help make these too. He loves to put it all in the blender. Then get a silly straw to drink it!!!

Hi Seana,
A friend told me about Boost Nurtritional Pudding. It's fantastic !! It's 240 calories and soooo good for them !! My daughter eats 2 a day !! One right before her nap and the other one right before bed !!
I get it from Target Pharmacy or CF Services Pharmacy..My grocery store told me that they would order it for me...but they never called me back.....You probably won't find it on the shelf. Hope this helps

Reilly just got a fee case of Carnation Instant Breakfast Plus (It's also lactose free), and she LOVES it! She will drink an entire can, which astounds her Nutritionist. It has 375 calories per can, as well as 17 grames of fat! I get her the Vanilla Swirl flavor. Might be an option. Here is the link where you can purchase it...Nestle
They also have a Very High Calorie version, which has 560 calories /can. Might be an option. The Nutritionist also told us most people like this better than the Scandishakes.
Good Luck!

DS's doctor told us to pick out a high calorie item that he can have every day -- just get into the habit of feeding him a high calorie snack or drink a couple times a day. If you try getting your child to snack on high calorie stuff and use cream later on in life, they might not like the taste. DH can't stand anything but skim milk 'cuz he says the other stuff is too rich. Growing up that's all they had in his house, skim milk.

Doc also suggested using regular carnation instant breakfast instead of sports shake, pediasure, scandiashake 'cuz it's less expensive and he feels it provides the same benefits. We mix up a pitcher of CIB with whole milk and some cream and keep it in the fridge for meals. When we travel we buy the cans of premade or sports shake, but they seem thicker and have more of a vitamin taste. We get a 22 pack of carnation instant breakfast at the wholesale club for about $6.25 -- at the grocery store it's almost $4 for a 10 pack.

I'm lucky enough to get the pediasure through WIC so no outta the pocket expense. Plus a friend of mine had gotten me a couple cases of chocolate.

U do not need a prescription. U can go to the website & order directly or ask your pharmacy to order some for you. The website is http://www.boost.com. Also ask the social worker at your CF office if they happen to have coupons for products. My social worker gave me a bunch of coupons for the boost shakes. They really come in handy!

This may be a stupid question, but does the boost pudding taste different than the drink. My son didn't like the drink and I dont know if he would like the pudding. He loves the carnation instant breakfast. He drinks about 4 a day, but other than that we have been unlucky finding something that he likes that is high in calories.

I havent actually tried the pudding. In some ways I would have to yes & no. To me the consistancy of things can make the taste different. Maybe that is in my mind, but I truly believe that. So he might like it versus the drink......or he might not.....boy I am a real help this morning! LOL!
