Any mom's out there going thru complete burnout? My 7 year old has CF...he's borderline CFRD and I can't seem to get thru this feeling of crabbiness all of the time. I think I'm just burned out. My husband helps out a lot but is never anyone good to talk to since he's always in the "denial" mode. We lost a baby 9 years ago...so he doesn't cope with medical stuff too well. Great for me huh? Just venting.....I'm off to church, hopefully the Big Man upstairs can give me some insight and strength.

Hi,

Being a mum is exhausting cf or not...what you are feeling is normal! But make sure you take time for yourself...eating well and exercising will help your body handle the stress much better. Relaxation techniques ( I suggest Celestine meditation CD. You can get it off of Amazon.com) and certain vitamins help reduce stress ( a complex B vitamin is great...just speak to your local pharmacist). If you do not take care of yourself you cannot take care of others.

You are not alone! Take care of YOU! It is vital for stress reduction!

You can PM me if you have any questions or just feel like talking!

RN and mum to 2 boys! 1w/cf + 1w/o cf

There are soooooo many of us who feel the same way daily. Ups and downs. Hopefully more ups. Just do the best you can. I agree about the vitamins.

I wish I had some amazing advice, but sadly I don't. Take time to laugh, sometimes just that reduces some stress. Does your pastor have any advice or a prayer group? Exercise is a big help too. Hang in there.
