I just couldn't let the Kentucky Derby go by unmentioned especially since I live so close to it. For anyone who is not familiar with this, it's a horse race, the biggest horse race. Growing up here I never realized how big of deal it was until I was grown. This year the Queen of England is coming to the Derby. I was wondering, has anyone picked a favorite horse? I'm rooting for Dominican, as he has local ties. He was named for the dominican nuns of St. Catharine college wher I go to school. He is from the Silver Hill Farm a few miles from where I live. Anyone want to say who they think will win? Let's see if anyone can predict the win, place, show order. This could be fun, like betting without money!!! Hey I grew up in louisville, just 2 years ago I moved down here to ft. campbell. I LOVE derby time, i used to go to the oaks. My mom wanted me to come up b/c they are going to the derby this year!
