I was just wondering how many of the women here started puberty late? What age you you had your first period? what age you developed breasts?....

I have had a period for well.. Since i was around 15... I am very very irregular... I get a period like every four or five months... But as for breasts I have never developed breast buds or breasts to say the least.... I was curious if anyone out there has/had this problem? I think that maybe i have some disease where i need to take hormones to produce breasts!!! I would really like to understand!!! I am 20, i will be 21 in feb... And to have a chest like a 8 year old is really embarassing... So if anyone could help me out that would be great!!! Thanx!!!

I got my period at 13... been regular... except if I was under 92 lbs.. or 92 lbs. It'd stop for a while until I regained my weight.

As for the breasts... still waiting for the boob fairy here.
I'm just happy I'm taller than 98% of the females in my family.

I got mine @ 14. Pretty regular unless my weight drops real low and I didn't have 'em while I was on Depo-Provera. I'm happy with my rack<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">. Are you taking birth control? When I switched from the Depo to the Nuva Ring (loving it!) my boobs grew a little.

I got my period 4 months before my 14th birthday. I remember having "buds" in the breast area long before that. The only time I have problems with my period is when my weight is low or I am on heavy duty antibiotics usually iv. Once I developed boobs I kept them except in extreme weight loss. They seem to be one of the first places I can notice it. My boobs & feet so my bras & shoes are big! I wonder if there is any connection like the guys with big feet and penises......LOL

I started soon after I turned 13 and I have always been regular. My breasts have always been small though - between an A and a B (except when I was breast feeding - they were HUGE!) - since breastfeeding, they are definitley in the A zone. I think many of us just don't have enough body fat to develop large breasts. I had very low body fat until I was in my twenties - now I have plenty of body fat, but it's all in my thighs and butt - so I think my breasts have long since decided their size!

Well, I started my period when I was 13 and I started growing breasts when I was in the 4th grade, I think I was 11, my breasts are well formed, Im a 36 B and happy with my size, husband thinks they should be bigger, but thats a man for ya. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I started my period when I was 12 and starting developing breasts at 8. My mom called the doctor because she thought something was wrong. The doc said oh no those are her breats buds! LOL! I was the only girl in the 5th grade and on who had breasts and I got picked on quite a bit. It's weird how I developed so early even my doctors were a little surprised. I'm a 34 B right now but it's only because I weigh 100 pounds. I used to weigh 117 and had a 34 full C almost D. My mom always laughs because she says I have no idea where you got your boobs because they sure arenn't from me. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

So should i be worried that I have not developed breast buds and i am 20 almost 21? Should I go and see a Gyno? Or what? I think that I am really late to develope breasts... Hmmm...... Okay thanx for all the replies!!!

You could talk to your doctor. He can refer you to answers. As for me, I started my period when I was 12, but development didn't take place till I was 22, including the mood swings that most teenagers go through.

I started my cycles around 13, but I had breast buds about a year and a half before that. Right now, I'm a 36 C. You should certainly talk to your doctor. I know my periods used to be irregular (about 1 every 2 months, and a LOT of pain), but after I started birth control I've been regular without any problems.

Hehe I just have to be an immature dork for a minute. Breast buds... makes me picture little boobie flowers in a garden. Hah!

I started getting breasts, I think, around 11-12. I didn't get my period until I was 14, almost 15.

first period at 14. i think my boobs started developing at 13. now a 12dd. to anon, boobs can keep growing into your late 20's so i wouldnt be worried.

I started my period when I was 11 and breast at 9ish but if I'm under 80 lbs I know I won't get a period for that month but other then that I' regular
