Legs and teeth

Ok, I have two really bizarre and unrelated questions but I did not want to post two different times. So here it goes.
1. Our son Luke (he is two) is extremely "bow-legged". He was an early walker (he walked at 9 months, but was about the size of a 6 month old) and everyone assumed it would just get better. Well it has not. We have seen a regular orthopedic doctor and now they are sending us to a pediatric specialist. The CF clinic does not feel it is related to his CF and I cannot find anything out about that either. So my question is--anybody elses kid ever have this problem or have you every read anything about CF kids and bone issues?
2. So I finally got up the guts to take away the bottle this week because I noticed that Luke's teeth seem discolored on the back of his top teeth. I feel like the world's worste mother because I think it is because I let him keep the bottle so long. But it was the only way he would drink the pediasure. I have had to bolus feed him through his tube through out the day now. Anyway, I have also heard that the vitamin/iron supplments and the breathing treatments can affect their teeth. So my second question is--do you do anything special to protect your kid's teeth? We brush his teeth twice a day and we have stopped the bottle cold turkey, but what else can I do? Our dentist generally does not see kids until three, but should I try to take him to the dentist, now?
Thanks for any advice. I am not sure anyone else has ever dealt with any of this stuff. Given our run of luck, it would not surprise me if we are just one big odd medical mess!

when your son was a baby did you let him stand up alot? did he have an exersaucer or jumparoo? when our dd saw a PT (physical therapist) they said never let baby stand or play in an exersaucer/jumparoo/walker because it causes walking delays, leg and back issues. its the only thing i can think of that might be a cause?

i know our pedi said "NO NIGHT BOTTLES" because it can rot teeth, in fact i was told that your supposed to rinse their mouth out after every bottle to clean their mouth and avoid teeth issues. i dont but my dd doesnt have teeth yet so maybe night bottles caused it? im not 100% sure.. im not exactly there yet with teeth or walking <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

We did not have a jumparoo, saucer or walker--he just walked really, really early. He just did it on his own. He crawled at 6 months and was up and cruising by 8 months and taking steps by 9 months. It used to freak people out because he was literally only about the size of a 5-6 month old (he has always been really tiny) and he was up walking around. We think that has something to do with his legs, but are not sure.
We followed the no bed bottle rule, but I am thinking he just had it for too long. All of my other children were done with their bottles by their first birthday, so I have never dealt with this issue until now. I know he should not have had it this long, but his weight is such a struggle, I just hated to set him back. My friend who works in a dentist office told me that you should wipe of their teeth after each bottle once they have teeth and we did the best we could with that and we always brush his teeth morning and night. That is why I am wondering if the meds. are impacting him too. The teeth thing is so new, I have not had a chance to talk about it with his dr. yet, but I figured if it is related to his CF--someone here would know about it!!! I usually get better info. here anyway!

hmm it might be a cf thing.. ive never heard of a baby or a toddler rather having teeth issues at 2y/o from a bottle. i know lots of kids that have bottles at 2.. maybe your son has sensitive teeth though? youd have to see a dentist, or ask the cf DR.

must be a sight seeing him walk when hes so little. my dd is small too. 12lbs at 4 1/2 months. i bet it looks like you have a super baby learning to walk at 5 months! hehe

sorry i cant be of more help. like i said im not really there yet so im unsure about these things
