Ugh....so sorry that your sister didn't tell you exactly what the kids had. I would be so mad at my sisters if they did that to me. Thankfully, my sisters tell me if the kids even have the sniffles. My son's Physical Therapist called and canceled her appointments with him for the week when she found out that she has bronchitis....I was so thankful that she didn't bring that to us.

Please take care of yourself and that little boy of yours and try to enjoy the holidays with him not being sick!

Ugh -- ready to become the bubble boy family. Went to my inlaws for dinner and my "darling" MIL says she's not sick but.... Has been coughing at night, but thinks it's her sinuses because she only coughs when she's trying to sleep, no fever. I suggest sinus rinses, but she says no, she just feels it running down her throat at night. Then she proceeds to cough the entire evening. A throaty, kinda bronchial cough.

She hadn't seen DS since the first week of December 'cuz they'd been out of town at a family Xmas gathering in Colorado and then we had stuff going on. So near as I can tell, she's coming down with something and thinks if she says she's not sick -- she'll convince us otherwise.

I just wanna smack that woman. So I'm starting off my holiday feeling really CRANKY! Sorry for hijacking your thread, but WHAT THE HECK is WRONG with people?!

I would keep one thing in mind, when someone has more than one child, and they do not have CF, and they "only" have the sniffles, but are going to the doctors, it usually means three things:

1. What they have is contagious...

2. Normal parents of healthy children usually do not pay multiple copays for children who only have the "sniffles," so they are for whatever reason downplaying it.

(This I never understood, let me tell you, I have went off like a mad woman at people for lying to me. I'm no doctor, but I can the difference between the "sniffles" and pneumonia. Why don't they just tell the truth?)

3. You don't want it...

Have a great Christmas... at least you know you dodged this bullet.
