let side and shoulder pain

yetserday afternoon i took my treatment  i felt a tightness in my chest i figure no bog deal ill cough really big and be ok.. well no such luck so i went to bed woke up coughing and now the pain is from the bottom of my left lung (deep) all the way up the side of my lung and into my shoulder joint /collar bone area... and it hurts ALOT..  has any body experienced this?? how did you fix it...it doesnt feel like a plug so i have no clue<br><br>

I would definitely get that checked out. I had a similar issue with the shoulder/collar bone pain, but it didn't go all the way down my lung like that. My doctor wasn't too happy I waited a week to call him. They checked for airway blockage, collapsed lung, and blood clot.

In my case, the only thing they found was an elevated diaphragm on the left side. My next PFT revealed a greater than 20% drop in FEV1, but they haven't been able to find the cause of either of those issues.

Point is--obviously your symptoms could be from a serious issue, so I wouldn't fool around with it. Hope you feel better soon!
