Let's Vent about Home Health

What's up with them calling at any time they want, coming over whenever, and thinking you have nothing better to do than to sit around and wait on them to call or come over?<Br><br>
They think sick people have no life. They called earlier saying Don't do any of your Meds until you hear from us! So I'm supposed to go home and wait for them to call me? No time frame or anything?<br><br>
Very frustrating.

Ughh...that is frustrating! We too have struggles with them not wanting to work with Gess's schedule. Also, lately it seems like they show up and don't have the right supplies! Hello...you need tubes to put the blood in if you are going to do a draw!

I have no complaints about my home health agency. They are nothing less than awesome. On time, caring, prepared. I guess I had no idea how good I have it. I will remember to appreciate them more. Do you have options for other companies? I know I have a couple of choices. I think you should complain, especially if they are helping you with IV meds that need to be administered on time. Speaking of on time, I need to go start my Zosyn<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

That's really sad. My home care nurses have always given me a time when they'll come. And I've never had one be later than an hour (in which case they call to let me know they're running late). You should file a complaint.
