I got to speak with Kurt at 11:15pm and heard the nurse telling the family that Lindsey's new lungs were 20 minutes away at that point. Kurt and Lindsey's Mom got to take her back to the OR. The first incision has been made. She should be getting those new lungs as I type! Kurt said everything has gone well up to this point. Lindsey wanted pictures of the new lungs arriving, so Kurt was preparing to take them. The surgery is estimated to take 5 hours, after which Lindsey will be heavily sedated for 8 hours following. After the surgery begins Kurt was going to go home and get a little sleep. He (and I imagine every one else in camp Lindsey) is verrrrry tired. I'll be posting in the morning as soon as I hear from Kurt. Oh what a night!
