I dont understand why still? Are they afraid of being held liable should something happen? Are they afraid other kids might learn about an illness then anyone of them could be a carrier to or learn more compassion? Has me stumped!

The article says, she is at school only part time on two days of the week.

I´m not shure, how school trips are done in America, but when I was on school trips it was for one week, up to 5 girls slept in one room and we had a full program the whole day. We visited Rome/Italy once and walked through nearly the whole city with our teacher who explained everything for one week. I was totally fit at that time and did only take pills, not inhale, so that was no problem.

But if she is not able to go to school, what should she do on the trip? If she will only be able to sit around in the hotel, it would probably not be too nice for her anyway...
And I can imagine the teachers would not be allowed to leave her alone, so thats probably the reason for the schools decision?

If she were to get her doctor's approval then I think she should be able to go. There are many possible reasons for her to be homeschooled. I wish the story gave more details!

I sent an email asking them to educate themselves and reconsider.
