I am sorry you had to deal with that, yikes! Coughing while you clean your ears is very normal. There is a nerve ending in your ear...I believe the Vagus nerve.....this triggers that cough. Audiologists will tell you to NEVER clean your ears with q-tips. Your ear wax is protective and should be taken out only when it is gettin' bad.... by sticking that thing in there you are usually just pushing wax deeper into your canal. There are better ways to clean 'em<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> You might ask your doc about a different method.

My best guess as to what happened is that the cough that was triggered by touching those nerve endings caused a bit of an asthma attack for you. I hope you feel better.........gotta love lipstick on those "blue days"<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
