Living with boyfriend

So I moved in with my boyfriend/fiancee (finally) and I just called SS to change my address and living situation (I was alone for a year and a half).

I just wonder, though we dont consider ourselves even un-legally married, can the gov't do anything b/c I am living with a boyfriend?

I still pay half the rent out of my SSD check, but other things like food we kinda half-hazardly split.

The utilities are under my parents name b/c we are living in a house owned by his parents and they are giving us a deal on the rent.

I just worry about somehow being illegal in all this, though I dont think I am. I dont consider his income "mine".

I thought once you move away from living with your parents that the money you recieve from ssdi can be spent however you want as its then your money...but if you were living with parents then your ssdi check goes to your parents...this is what i was told

All income in the HOUSEHOLD is counted, unless you can show that there is a rental agreement (i.e. roommate type situation) or that you are paying your parents for rent (if you are living with them).

I'd establish a "contract" with your boyfriend about expenses and make sure that you are leaving a paper trail (i.e. writing checks) for the items you are "splitting".
