Living with CF

Hi Jeff and welcome to the board<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
I am with everyone else here you need a cf Dr. not just a Primary Care Physician. Cf is a serious disease and needs to be treated by a cf Dr. That will be your first step in getting to know whats right for you in your fight in cf.
The question about oral antitbiotics will be different for everyone. Not everyone will have the same rssults with the same antibiotics. I take 3 or 4 at a time all the time( on a rotating basis) because i have b.cepacia ( a bacterial antibiotic resistant infection that can be very aggressive in nature). Some people are on oral antibiotics for preventative measures and some never seem to require any unless they are sick. I urge you to find a cf specialist in your area and go from there. They will get you on the right track. Good Luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I echo all of their responses. You should see a CF specialist. I believe there is one in L.A. as well as San Diego. All the new medication they might want to put you on might feel a little overwhelming, but it will hopefully get you feeling much better, and living longer! Take care.

Gonna echo everyone, find a CF doc, you will be amazed at what they can do for you.

One quick note: if you are still in the LA area, avoid Loma Linda, you'd be better off where you are now. I can tell you more if you wish/need, just send me a PM.

Otherwise, welcome to the site you will find a lot of great people here.
