If a second tx is what you want, a second tx is what you will have. The doctors will transplant you if you want it. I did it after ten years and did really WELL. It was a tough battle post tx in the hospital as compared to the first set of lungs but the battle was worth it all. When someone is retransplanted a year or two later, it is not as difficult as if the lungs were retransplanted ten or more years.

Im keeping Lo and her family in my prayers and pray that she still has the strength to hold on long enough to get her second transplant, and Im going to pray for the nurses and docs to help keep her motivated and happy and for them to do an awesome job when it comes time to get her another set of new lungs.

None of us are giving up on you. You are so beautiful, inside and out, that it would be a real tragedy for you to leave this earth. We need you so here's some Jewish guilt, you can't die. It would set us all back. Is this selfish, yes, but I want you to live and whatever reason I can find I'll use. I don't even know you personally, but you inspire me and I'm waiting for a tx, too. And I know how exhausting it is and I can't imagine your suffering at having come so close to peace and then having it pulled away, but Risa is a true testament that another tx can work. Please fight.

Lo you are and have always been the inspiration that keeps me rocking! Your family is wonderfull too and I am thinking about all of you. You keep me motivated to keep up with my fundraising efforts and I only hope to come close to what you've done and are doing.
