Doubt it. I live in LA and the heat kills me. I feel like I can never keep up with the amount of water I need to drink or the salt that I lose from sweating. For me, the great days are when its overcast and cool - I feel like I have more energy (probably because my body isnt' spending energy trying to cool me off from the heat) and I can breath better.

Also sunburn easily - my ancestors are from Ireland, so my skin is made for the cool climate for sure!!!!!

I have strongly considered moving to Seattle or San Francisco or Portland.

When I was little my parents asked the doctors where the best place to live would be for me. At that time the doc said Hawaii would be a great option mainly b/c of it's humidity. We didn't move there but apparently they seriously considered....too bad that didn't happen. I've asked now as an adult and they say they see cfers do very well in all kinds of environments, warm and cold, etc. One thing I do know that isn't good is air polution of course. When I moved out of Los Angeles, I could tell a huge difference in my breathing with the fresh mountain air.

I'm in Australia and lived in a hot and humid place for 20 years. I've been in a much cooler and dryer climate for just over a year now and I couldn't conclusively say that one climate was "better" than the other. I haven't had an increase or decrease in infections. The humidity made me cough a lot but cold weather exacerbates my asthma. There are trade-offs in both, for me, so I think you just have to find somewhere that's right for you.

I've heard with humidity it is easier to cough stuff up, but there is a greater chance of infection; while with arid air there is less chance of infection, but it dries out our lungs and is harder to cough stuff up... <img src="http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TwDpAtQY2*0p1iLRrsYnDnvAXVUvKUZVgKTvjvH39qCaVAOUwA0a1P94DaMi!4IrunCQA6mdZeo6uix2FL0UqLsa*b5DjtRMF!aa3A!Sps0cPzHfo8Wymg/coughing.gif">

As for temperature, i don't know. For me, I feel better in the cold and when it is hot I lose all my energy, but I know there are people who feel fine in the heat, but the cold makes them cough all the time. Maybe it just depends on what you are used to...

I think it depends on the CFer. I prefer the cooler weather for easier breathing, but it makes my body ache just like the wet weather. I dont mind the humidity unless I have to be "active" then its a pain. I live in New York State so I have all the seasons. Winter isnt my favorite because even tho its cooler to breath I hate having to bundle up. The worst definitely is the rain in the Spring tho!

Well I live here in Manitoba, Canada, and the heat kills me in the summer. I cough, get dehydrated, my asthma worsens, I can never get enough water, and I burn really easily because I'm Irish/Scottish. The winters here are super cold like -40 C, and I find that my health is better through out the winters.
