My friend moved up to Troy, NY and her sons school did a fundraiser for a girl that passed away from CF. I believe the school is called Rensallier Elementary School. I am curious if anyone knows about the school and the child that passed away. My friend was so excited to hear about a fundraiser.......I told her I would let her know if anyone here knew anything!

Small world ! I live about 10 min. from Troy and about 15 min. from Rensselaer. I didn't hear about the fund raisier, maybe they only advertised in the Troy/Renss. area.
If your friend is interested the Donna Crandall Foundation is in the Albany area. They raise money for local CF patients. Anytime a person is admitted into the Albany Medical Center gift bags are given, TV, telephone, parking paid for. A couple of years ago they built a 'living room' for Cf families in Albany Med. It has a big screen TV, vidoe games, computer and snacks. They also help people pay for transplants, pay medical and household bills... oh I could go on and on. They are a wonderful group of people.
Since my husband's passing I try to give as much as I can to the organization. We were so lucky to have them in our lives .
