Dark or stained teeth is very common from all the meds we take. When he's older crest white strips are an easy touch up, I think I started using them in my teens but I also drink a lot of tea. I believe we were also told that extra plaque build up was common from breathing through the mouth a lot.

Interesting teeth questions.  My daughter Rebecca, age 11 in the CF diagnostic process, didn't have any baby teeth until she was 15 months old.  She lost her teeth beginning I think around 8, so we went to the orthodontist about the crowding and began extracting 2 teeth at a time to make room for the adult teeth to come in.  Now she has braces and the last 2 teeth that are so slowly coming in are being pulled down by the braces.
We were also told that she has soft teeth and this is most likely from malnutrition.  We opted to have her teeth cealed so it is far less likely she will have cavities since they usually form in the grooves that are cealed.
Our children have the oddest things in common.
