I've mentioned a few times I'm traveling in the next couple of months. One visit in particular is a longer visit to NYC. We are actually taking the train from the south. I have never traveled on a train in the US and have some questions and concerns that some of you might be able to help with. Nothing is pressing.
I am not traveling with a vest. I have other methods of airway clearance that work fine for the period I'll be gone and my doctor is fine with my plan. However, I still have to carry meds and nebulizer, as always. Because I have to have several different types of clothing - professional, casual, and dressy - I am at a lost for how to travel lightly. I know how to dress and do that lightly but my luggage is still full. I know the number of bags I can bring with me, etc. However, because I'm doing a variety of things while I'm gone my carry-on is already full and heavy. My bag to be stowed is full.
I'm wondering if anyone has found a really great carry-on bag, easy to carry or pull, in addition to a regular bag, to carry medicine/nebulizer plus a laptop, plus a binder or two, and other needed gadgets (cell phone, etc.).
My other big concern is not being able to actually manage carrying both regular luggage and carry-ons. We have to change hotels half way through our stay in NYC which means I'll need to maneuver three times on the streets for short periods of time. I'm in pretty decent shape but still get out of breath with heavy items. I'm used to traveling in nicer surroundings and so while I'm well traveled I've always done with some extra help. I've thought of shipping things ahead but it doesn't make that much of a difference.
EDIT: I know this is of really minor importance and I feel bad posting it and taking up other space for more important things. I am just at a loss for how to juggle luggage.
