The reason why i had the surgery is that the wire sometime hurts and i don't know why. I have trouble finding bra's that fit me and that don't hurt on the wire.. But that main reason is that it is coming out slowly. The bump that you could see was bigger then it was right after surgery..
I know a story of someone where the wire came out suddenly and he had to have emergency surgery because of risk of infection. And because my body was most likely pushing the wire out very slowly they decided to take it out.
They don't do the surgery that much but it's not uncommon.

I hope they can help you cause i don't think it is good to feel the wire when you push heavy weights. I didn't feel that.. Now i have to say that i don't really push heavy weights cause i'm not that strong Saying that, i did have a muscle strength test with the physio at the hospital this week and that was much better than 6 months ago. One of them even dubbeled.. I don't know which one though, the biceps, triceps or quadriceps...

Thanks for the replys

thank you Marjolein

I do not have any pain but when I can feel the wire when i push the weights, I am concerned and I do not know if it is a risk if I can feel the wire when I lift. I will talk to my doctor but I would definitely not have the surgery as i have no pain. If there is no pain then their is no gain and do nto need any additional surgeries.

You are right about that Risa,
if you don't have any pain i wouldn't have the surgery either.

My surgery went really well. As i said i was at the ward right away and i didn't have any pain. They injected something against the pain when they finished with the surgery. I took 2 paracetamols before i went to sleep at night because i didn't want to wake up because of any pain. But i don't think that was necessary. I didn't feel a think. They stitched it under the skin and used glue too. I asked the surgeon to take extra care of the stitches because my scar from my tx is really good I didn't have the same thoracic surgeon but none the less i think this one did a good job too. Even if it's only been 2 days and ofcourse it's still a little swollen.
