Measure your walk

Since early May, I have been battling the same infection and trying to get a nice window to start exercising. Well, I stopped fooling around with the abs that barely worked (cefuroxime, clarythromycin, cefaclor) and started Avelox. I got my window!

I have been doing some 5:30 AM walks after the vest and nebulizer (while husband and kids are sleeping). Check out this website that allows you to map your run (walk). You can draw lines in parks, not just roads.

www.mapmyrun.com

I've also done a few pilates classes. There is a pilates warm up that makes me cough up piles of stuff. I thought I'd post it here--it is so simple. Lie on your back, arms at sides, while inhaling lift arms up and back to behind your head. While exhaling, bring your arms back to your sides like you are making a snow angel. Do it ten times. Tell me if you have the same response!

And here is a link to my new favorite postural drainage position: the Salamba Sarvangasana

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.myyogaonline.com/Salamba_Sarvangasana_(Supported_Shoulderstand)_asana_47_yoga_pose.html
">http://www.myyogaonline.com/Sa...ana_47_yoga_pose.html
</a>
I can't do it that well, and it makes me feel a little queasy, but once again, a lot of mucus coming out.

I do pilates at home. This DVD is great, no frills and a hard workout:

</a>
Congrats on your window. I'm doing a similar routine but with my baby in a jogging stroller. Half the workout is getting the jogger in and out of my small car trunk. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Thanks for the postural drainage info, very cool. Nice to have other methods besides the vest for those post-workout lung oysters.

Thanks for the DVD info! I hear you on the jogging strollers being heavy (I had a double jogger at one point...but those days are gone woo whoo:). So, do you drive to a peaceful trail? That is what my dad does for running and biking. I am too lazy to go anywhere, but I get the peace and quiet by being out butt-early. Unfortunately, my freelance work has gone out the window (hopefully only temporarily) now that I am trying to exercise.
Hmmmm, lung oysters, nice imagery ;-)
