So for those of you that take lots of medications, how do you keep them all straight?? I was doing ok, but since this hospital stay my doctors have added ALOT of different medications. I was wondering if any of you made a list of your meds and actually checked them off. If so, what program do you use??

I keep Word documents on my computer of all our meds & dosages that I periodically update and print out. I keep it taped inside the cabinet where I keep all our meds.

Weekly pill boxes are sanity-saving for oral meds but obviously don't help much when it comes to a lot of the cf meds. My daughter takes a combination of pills, inhalers and nebs... a thought that comes to mind is maybe a specific plastic bin in the fridge to hold stuff that needs to be there including baggies to sort out what you need for a days' supply of nebs for a week in advance, like you could do with a pill box; and a bin to keep out of the fridge for whatever you need there. I've found that when stuff is sorted out and ready for for quick use, you are so much less likely to forget anything.

(I also email my med list to my mom whenever I update it so SHE knows all this vital info- it's essential for whoever your emergency contact is to have this information I think- and I keep a copy of this list in my wallet- easy to hand over to doctors than trying to list 9 meds & doses and spelling everything for clueless medical staff.)

cfvoice.com has an awesome treatment tracker that I use for Paige's medicines & treatments. It's a lifesaver! I've also discovered that windows VISTA has an awesome calender that you can add tasks to, and it will make a window pop up on your computer, as a reminder, when it's time for that task.
