I would definitely be interested in seeing your research comparing the percentage of CF patients suffering from bipolar disorder to the general public. It's definitely an interesting theory that prolonged anxiety or other thought patterns that tend to come with chronic, fatal illness might influence the chemical balance in our brains. On the other hand, my personal experience (having grown up in the CF community and having known many CFers in many capacities) doesn't necessarily support it, but of course that also doesn't mean that it's not possible. Please share some of your sources -- I'd love to learn more about it if there is a connection.
