Not sure of the spelling for the M drug but I was wondering if any of you have ever done these two together. I'm being treated at Kaiser in San Diego and the doctor that usually handles the CF patients is on vacation. The pulmonary doctor I am working with has never had a CF patient...Oh Well....:^)

Meropenem* and I've been on them both alone, and both at the same time before. Any question you have about them specifically?

Does your facility do sensitivity studies? You could ask the doc (or the resident) to go over the studies with you to explain why they chose the antibiotics they did.

Wow, Steve, I just noticed you are 57. What's your secret?!?

58, last Saturday....Too bad I was on home IV's and too sick to celebrate....:^( I suspect I've made so long primarily because I have very minor Malabsorption. I currently don't use any enzymes. I've been very physically active all my life. I probably got a break on the genetics overall too. Lastly, I have very strict personal hygiene rules that I follow. I don't hang out with anybody who 'has a cold'. I don't eat out much during the 'cold and flu season', never salads or cold food and I am very careful about hand to mouth cleanliness. I use Purel hand sanitizer a lot when I am out and about....
