Migraine

Anyone ever have this happen? THis past Wednesday I had a migraine, complete with mild dizziness, nausea (sp??), sensitivity to light, and of course lets not forget the splitting headache and wishing I would just die! Anyway, the seasick feeling is still going on! By that I mean the dizziness and nausea. It comes and goes at the weirdest times. Sometimes I'll be doing something like reading or bending over when it hits, other times I'm just standing or sitting not really focussing on anything then WHAM, I think I might hurl. This has never happened before when I've had a migraine. What's the deal?

Sounds like things might be in your inner ear. If the pain is gone that I would tend to think the Migraine itself is no longer the problem. Hope you clear up soon. If not see a doctor (just want you want to hear I know)! I only had one TRUE, full migraine in my life. It was right after I found out I was pregnant. I couldnt even lift my head off the pillow without getting dizzy& wanting to vomit. Made it hard to eat/drink & forget treatments even I was doing them.......

What melissa made me think... she makes a good point.

I was going to suggest something but it's way out there.... I use to get migranes all the time when I was younger, and then when I was about 18-19, they stopped. Occasionally I'd get 1 or 2 throughout the year, but nothing like I use to.

Then when I got pregnant.... man oh man. For about 4 straight weeks I had migraines with dizziness, nausea but never threw up, irritability, sensitivity to light and nothing I did made it feel better. Mine too came and went as it pleased, with no rhyme or reason. All the sudden my headache and all symptoms were gon and then the next day in the shower it would hit.

I know its way out there but some women get headaches/migraines instead of bad morning sickness. could you be pregnant?

Have you been on Tobi alot? If I remember correctly, I have corresponded with someone who has trouble with vertigo because of Tobi use (at least I think it was Tobi)

Does anyone else have information about drug use and vertigo?

At any rate, I too would recommend going to your doctor.

I feel so bad for you and know your pain so well. I have always said my whole life, "I don't get headaches I give them" but this past month I had my first real experience with a Migraine.. and I said the same thing as you, I would rather die then go through that again" It was the most horrible feeling ever. THe light blinded my eyes, noise caused sharp pains to shoot through my head.. I am still feeling the effects of it.

They are still working me up, actually oddly enough they want to rule out some pretty major things which I know I can't possibly have, I have to get a PET Scan, and an MRI with special contrast.. I already had a bunch of them done but these are specific.

I had the sea sick feeling for over a week, I spent it in the bathroom throwing up with severe sharp pain in my head.. I couldn't even cry it hurt so bad... My arms, fingers, lips were numb. I was confused and didn't even know where I was.

Mine they think turned out to be Basilar Artery Migraine, basically the main artery that goes to my brain was having spasms, cutting off my oxygen supply to my brain. They are not sure why I am still numb hence the reason for all the tests.

I hope you feel better, I get those type of headaches for the past month, on and off., and even when I don't have it, I have a feeling of anxiety that it is going to come back.

Actually the thought did occur to me that I might be pregnant. Its not likely but not impossible either. I have a physical on Wednesday and I will ask for a pregnancy test.

any symptom of migrains can hang around for a week, they do with me , luckily thr full blown take my head off please migraine for me only comes every 10 years or so. Dizziness and nausea are more prevelent in mine, my nausea can last a week, and i have never been physically sick with it. Go to an optician and get your eyes tested, its amazing what they can see through your eyes, your soul,.
A good pair of glasses done the trick for me.

Rocks in your head? I don't have CF, but I had the summer of hangover type headaches. Turns out I had little calcium deposits in my eustacian tubes that made me horribly dizzy. I was sent to someone who manipulated my head to get the them out. Can't remember the technical term but it was some sort of ear disorder. Liza

The only other thing I can offer is in 2000 when I was the lowest with my weight since hitting puberty. I had a reaction to the tobra after being on it for about 2 weeks. I was still in the hospital (thank god) & couldnt sit up without the room spinning. I had to hold onto the wall while sitting on the toilet. I felt like the room was crooked. Almost An Alice in Wonderland typeb feeling. No nausia or vomiting just dizziness & room spinning. Like a terrible drunk! Havent had a reaction to tobra since & my levels were fine at the time. That is the first thing they checked!
