Good afternoon,
I'm trying to get some information, and figured I'd join this website to try to get it. I'm an active duty Marine and just recently got orders to Camp Lejeune, NC. My wife has CF, and I'm trying to get information about the CF centers around the Jacksonville Area, and the EFMP. I am really new to this since my last duty station was on a remote site away from an actual base.
Next question is base housing. My wife is still up in Pennsylvania, due to we do not having base housing, and I can't rent a house due to having a great dane, and he well exceeds the weight limit. I am getting my wife Katherine, enrolled in the EFMP, and was told the chances of getting expeditated on the waiting list for base housing, but was told that she may not meet the requirements for us to get expeditated.
Can I use the justification that she needs to get down here, and get set up with a doctor fast, because technically since I transferred, our TRICARE coverage has changed. I know this is a little bit of a long winded post, and sorry if it doesn't make sense. I just need to get some insight on this before I drop my EFMP paperwork off tomorrow at the EFMP coordinator. Thanks for your time.
