<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I personally stay away from yogurt as it has aspartame</end quote></div>
<b>Only the light and diet ones have aspartame.</b> I always eat Dannon coffee or vanilla yogurt , or my favorite Yoplait whips chocolate mousse <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> They have sugar in them not aspartame.
I am allergic to aspartame so i make darned sure not to eat anything with it.
AS for milk causing more mucus, i dont buy into that idea. Ihave been drinking milk my whole life and never had a problem like that. In fact when i was little i had hardly any mucus at all. If the "milk causes mucus" theory were correct, i should have had a lot of mucus then. I have always been a lover of dairy and use it to gain and maintain my weight.

I found out that Dannon fruit at the bottom is almost purely corn syrup! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> That does heck with my blood sugar levels. I was very disappointed since Dannon has been my favorite for as long as I can remember.

Silk, the most popular soy milk company, also makes soy yogurt. It isn't the best tasting, but I put some granola in it (Udi's Hawaiian is my fav) and I can't tell the difference!

Random thought, some people are lactose intolerant. Could that be a reason some people seem to have more mucus than others when eating dairy?

Now as far as yeast infections, well instead of just addressing the symptom, ie applying topical cream, you must ask why you get them? </end quote></div>

Why? Cuz I have PA. And it's worked pretty well at preserving lung function, thank you very much. In fact, treating PA exacerbations agressively has preserved my lung function. My FEV1 is at 98%.

<b> Anti-biotics kill all the resilient bacteria, </b>

No they kill the suseptable bacteria, not the resiliant bacteria.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> there's no defense against the bad bacteria.</end quote></div>

yeast aka candida is fungus, not a bacteria.... again, please educate yourself. but yes, antibiotics can kill organisms that keep candida in check. but my changes of dying of lung damage are much higher than dying of an overgrowth of yeast in my vagina.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Antibiotics suppress your immune system </end quote></div>

No, bacteria do not suppress your immune system. Are you kidding? I'm shocked you are making such blatantly false statements.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> I'd say, and I've taken this approach, do not take an antibiotic unless it is absolutely necessary. </end quote></div>

Ya dude, I don't either. But a bacterial infection from PA can cause permanent lung damage, in case that's news to you as well.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> I no longer get any yeast infections, and I used to be prone to them.</end quote></div>

Sure, decreased use of antibiotics will decrease your chances of candida overgrowth.

but check your statement and make sure that you fully understand the difference between <u> causation </u> and <u> correlation </u>

I could never ever give up milk or cheese!!!! I did switch to 2% organic milk instead of whole because whole milk is so thick. I've heard about milk increasing mucus but I figure the good we get from dairy (calcium, calories etc) outweighs the bad mucus.
