I suggest trying to put on wieght first, I put on 5 lbs and I got preggo. I tried for a year t 110 and nothing got to 115 and bam. Also doing your meds thins the mucus which is prolly blocking your tubes and the eggs from being released. Go get an OB check up and they can check eveything.

The nightmares never go do they.

I actually thought I might be pregnant last month more like I hoped more than anything I was.

Anyway no I am pretty sure its nothing to do with your past its just one of those things.

Kate,

Jessi gave you a good site about PCOS so I think I'll skip explaining it or else I could be here until tomorrow. LOL!

I had a transvaginal ultrasound done last November by my regular GYN office. They said, "Yes, you have a large cyst on your left ovary." That was that. They never told me that I might have PCOS. When I went to the fertility clinic, they did the same transvaginal ultrasound and said right away that I had PCOS since I had too many follicles (unmatured eggs) in the left ovary. You couldn't miss it. It was like the GYN office didn't even care to notice...They knew VERY WELL that my husband and I were already trying to conceive for 1 year and NEVER said anything about PCOS. That is why I think a fertility specialist is the person you need to see about being diagnosed with PCOS. You could ask your OB, but you sound as if you may have been trying for some time now. I wouldn't waste anymore time trying without finding out what the problem is. I WISH I did it sooner instead of waiting 19 months!!! I just WASTED my time...

I also do agree that the weight loss may be a reason for you not to be ovulating. It IS POSSIBLE to get monthly cycles and not ovulate. You need to gain more weight...Whether you gain or loss a good amount of weight, it is enough to make you not ovulate. Heavy set women often don't ovulate because they are too heavy. They too may have normal cycles but not ovulate.

Many women with PCOS are obese. We are different because of the CF factor.

Also, I have to laugh about the health care system you talk about in NH. I'm a Medical Assistant in PA. I don't practice anymore, though. I use to work in the Reading Hospital at the Radiation Clinic for cancer patients.

Also, PA stands for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and MRSA stands for Multiple Resistant Stap Aurus. They are the bugs on my lungs like you have Cepacia.

Okay, I have to run. Talk later!
