Brittani-- just my 2 cents but I thought you are not suppose to mix the hypertonic and albuterol. We were told to use the albuterol before every hypertonic treatment, but wait 15 minutes after the albuterol so the airways open up before doing the hypertonic. Also were told not to mix the two. I am curious as to what others do.

Yeah, they both have different functions... so I would think mixing them together would cancel out the effects they're supposed to have. I've read on the internet not to mix the HS with anything, and my dr. never told me to mix the two. Just to be on the safe side, I would nebulize them separately. Feel better, Brittani!

Mixing the HS and the albuterol is part of the protocol for my clinic. 5ml 10% HS and 2.5 ml albuterol, so it can't be that bad for you.

Have you been tested for CFRD?
When my blood sugars are high my vision can be affected and I feel tired out & sleepy and when my sugars are real low I feel shaky, sweaty, disoriented, etc.
Do these sound like anything you've experienced?
