I am curious if anyone has used or heard of CFer's using a product called Mona-Vie? I was able to speak with an Independent Distributer a couple weeks ago but did not ask her about CF. She talked very strongly about using it for Autism. We have an appt with our CF Clininc on the 25th and I intend on asking about using it. Check out the website and any feedback is truly appreciated

Looks to be another juice, not readily sold/available in stores -- similar to Xango, etc. Might be best saving your money and either doing your own juicing or providing fruits rich in antioxidents, if that is your goal.

I've used it, sadly I couldn't afford it at the time and couldn't stay on it. It gave me energy and made me feel clear headed, but other than that I didn't feel any difference, UNTIL I went for my first checkup after I started using it, and they told me my stats were better than they had EVER been. I don't think the Mona-Vie was the only candidate because I had been eating healthy, but I think it had a huge part to do with it. I heard all kinds of stories about this product. I have my neighbor who was coming clear from... Meth I believe, and the instant he started taking it his night sweats stopped and he was able to rest at night without waking up and throwing up, for the first time.

The friends who got me into it made me an independent distributor, but I honestly didn't take the time to figure out how the whole sales system works, I just wanted the product.

I know this is a very old post but I wanted to reply to this topic also for anyone else that might have heard about it or wanted to ask but was afraid of the backlash.

We started using MonaVie when Jaelyn left from her tune up last year in August. Almost immediately, her need for Miralax was eliminitated. Secondly, since her birth in 2001 she had always had foul loose greasy stools. Even after we introduced enzymes at her diagnosis in 2005; she still had "less than normal" stools. Since adding MonaVie into her daily regimen, she has brown peanut butter type poo's! Essentially, for the first time in her whole life she has poop that looks like mine! After 3 mos of taking MonaVie, her docs took her off Miralax, her albuterol inhaler, and her nasonex spray! Even said giving her culturelle was optional (but I kept her on that). It was nothing short of a miraculous turn around. But I never posted about it or blog'd it bc ppl here are so iffy about anything that is all natural or not FDA approved.

Well, fast forward to now, gas and groceries are through the roof and money is tight everywhere. The first thing I cut out was the MonaVie hoping she wouldn't backslide. Her last clinic visit she cultured no infections or bugs but her PFT's were down 8%. Well, I can tell you the first thing in my head was that we stopped her MonaVie. So, needless to say, she is back on it and won't ever be without it again. For anyone that has ever thought to try it, our whole family (even the 16 mos old baby) takes it and the benefits far outweigh the costs! I have numerous friends with CF that I all asked to try a bottle or two and whether they liked it or not to please let me know what they thought. One of the major responses from my CF pals was that they noticed less bleeds. So I am assuming that the juice helps inflammation that maybe the hemoptysis is lessened bc the lungs are no longer inflamed??? I dunno, I am no doctor but I know this juice has helped other CF'ers!!! Can't hurt to try!

PM me with any specific questions!
