Amy, how do they test you? Do they keep you hooked up for 3 hours or do they take 2 seperate draws...one after the glucose and one two hours later?
In quebec, they kept me in the freaking room for three hours...but in Ontario, they let you leave the room and just make you come back.
Cait, you sound like me...except for the thirsty and peeing part. I have symptoms of CFRD, and have had them for quite a few years now, but never full blown CFRD. What happens with me is that an hour after i eat, my glucose goes kinda high....and then an hour after that, it can go really low, making me shaky and stuff. It's quite bizarre. That usually happens just at breakfast though, so I limit my carbs for breakfast, eat a good snack 2 hours later, and that seems to help. Try that for the shakiness.
I would get tested just to be safe. You might be glucose intolerant....and they can give you a pill to help you better utilize glucose.
