For Mother's day I really wanted to have a regular day. Coffee made by the kids, a card.
My son(no CF) is on a travel soccer team. It is VERY hard for us to go to his away games all as a family because of the hour and a half drive BOTH ways and 2-3 hours of game time....We just can not fit it in with all my daughter's health needs, plus she had been really sick this winter.
For mother's day we figured it out.....I am so grateful . My Dad had bought a "converter" for my daughter to do her VEST off our car battery.... She could do her neb off it as well. We drove as a family to the game, sat outside all day..At our usual Neb and VEST time, we took my daughter to the car, my husband hooked up the converter..And she vested in the car per her usual schedule...then back off to watch soccer.....IT MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!! It made me feel so normal. I was so happy to be able to watch my non CF child play soccer.. Alot of times my husband and I divide and conquer meaning he'll take my son to his game and I'll stay home with my CF child and do her treatments and her activites....It doesn't seem fair to my non CF child..... But Mother's day, we did it. That was the greatest gift..But I think we freaked out a few people in the parking lot.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
