Moving our family from Dallas to Denver in December

Hi everyone,

Our little girl will be 10 months when we move in just 3 1/2 months. I am wondering if can get some advice from everyone in Denver. I need to know everything from what clinic we should go to and what doctor we should see, to what we should be looking for in the home that we buy. I am assuming that swamp coolers are a no go... Also, I was hoping to get some insight as to the government assistance programs that Colorado offers. We haven't had to worry about that here in Dallas and don't think we will need to in Denver but it was brought up in a conversation with my husbands new boss and I wanted to better understand.
Thanks!

Friend of mine lives about an hour north of Denver and they go to Children's in Denver and have been quite pleased with the CF clinic there.

I grew up (and still currently live) about an hour north of Denver. I cannot give enough praise to the doctors, nurses, and other staff at Children's Hospital (it moved from Denver to Aurora a couple years ago) for how well they treated me for 21 years. They always went above and beyond to give me the help and care I needed. I know most of the CF doctors well, and there is not one person that isn't fantastic at what they do.

I'm sure the social workers there can also help you get as much information as you need about government assistance programs, as well.

I have 2 kids that go to the clinic at the Children's hospital. You will be very happy with their care. The entire team is really good. I don't think there are many swamp coolers in Colorado. It's too dry here for them to work well. Some have AC but many people don't even have those since it usually cools off in the evenings. I don't know anything about the assistance programs but like someone else mentioned, the social worker at the CF clinic should be able to help you. Do you know what part of town you are going to look at? Let me know if you have any more questions.
