you're probably thinking of wilmington, nc. thats where dawson's creek was filmed and where one tree hill is filmed now....
i'm from chapel hill but have family in wilmington and personally its one of my favorite places to be. period. definitely a great town with a lot of young people (UNCW is there...) and obviously its very close to wrightsville beach and beach towns are always super chill and just fun places to be. its also only about 2.5-3 hours from chapel hill and duke, both of which have cf centers. i'm partial to chapel hill for general cf care because the team there is phenominal. i know a guy that has cf that lives in wilmington, he posts on here sometimes but not very often. pm me if you want me to get you in touch with him if you have more questions about the area.
i have to say that chapel hill, greensboro and raleigh are not bad places to look into either...there are people with cf that live in all three places that post on this board so i'm sure you could get plenty of info about the areas....hope thats helpful!

Don't bother coming to La. Too hot and humid! I think CO or NC would be awesome. They're both beautiful places to live. Wow....so many choices. If you could live close to the beach it would be great too. I guess alot depends on what you like most...mountains, beaches, city life?

I wish you well wherever you decide to start your next adventure!

Wow! Great stuff! Thanks all. I'm getting slightly uncomfortable because I'm realizing my deadline is very swiftly rushing up on me. YES, I believe Wilmington is the town I'm thinking of.

My pie in the sky, dream decision would be to move to Europe for about six months, because I've always wanted to live overseas for a short while, especially somewhere where I can easily visit surrounding countries.
How ever with the cost of travel and finding job and living expenses and insurance red tape... I just don't think I have the time.

Jamie do you happen to know off the top of your head the average living expenses in Wilmington?
I adore the beach, but am also hugely into climbing/repelling/caving etc.
I've always liked NC... hmm...
