I got MRSA maybe around november ish. They told me to start these awful tablets, I swear they were the size of bricks, for two weeks, and I could bearly eat, feeling sick all the time and wicked insomina untill I came off the tablets. I don't know how I got it, it must have been from a normal routine check up. Anyhow, a week after these tablets from hell, I had a check up to make sure they were doing the job, and I found out that because of my recent IVs, I had actually gotten rid of MRSA before I started the tablets. So basically, they found out I had MRSA through routine tests, told me in the next appointment, but by then I didn't have it. What a waste of sleep! Xx

Once you've gotten MRSA of the lungs once, they will never take you out of isolation. Then you have a 'history of MRSA' which means there's probably still a bit of staph lingering in your lungs that you could pass. I had this for a while too, and eventually they couldn't find it anymore, but I'm still taken to a separate room during clinic visits, and (the good part about it) I can't share my hospital room with another patient. The pills to treat it suuuck.
